Working Together

Before Working With a Coach

If you’re considering working with a coach, I want to be clear and transparent about how this work is structured.

These policies are not here to create pressure or distance. They exist to support clarity, emotional safety, mutual respect, and a grounded working relationship where expectations are understood by everyone involved.

Please take a few minutes to review them before your first paid session.

Coaching relationship

Coaching at Dreams Alive is a collaborative, client-led process focused on reflection, emotional awareness, insight, and meaningful forward movement.

This work is designed to move at a human pace. There is no expectation to perform, “break through,” or have everything figured out before beginning.

Coaching is not therapy, crisis support, or a substitute for medical or mental health care. Instead, it is a reflective space designed to help people reconnect with themselves more honestly while navigating stress, uncertainty, emotional overwhelm, or change.

Respect, boundaries, and communication

Mutual respect is foundational to this work.

This includes:

  • honest communication
  • consent around language and topics
  • respect for emotional and personal boundaries
  • zero tolerance for harassment, abusive behaviour, or discrimination

Dreams Alive aims to provide a grounded, affirming, and respectful environment for people of diverse backgrounds and experiences, including members of the 2SLGBTQ+ community.

A full boundaries and conduct policy is included below.

Fees, cancellations, and rescheduling

Session fees, package options, and payment methods are discussed and confirmed individually before ongoing work begins.

Because coaching spaces are held intentionally and with care:

  • sessions require at least 24 hours notice to reschedule
  • late cancellations or no-shows are considered used sessions
  • refunds are handled according to the refund policy outlined below

The goal of these policies is not punishment, but clarity and sustainability for everyone involved.

Privacy and confidentiality

Your privacy matters.

Information shared during coaching is treated as confidential, with the exception of legal or safety-related obligations as outlined in the Privacy Policy.

This work is built on trust, consent, and emotional safety. You are never expected to share more than you are ready to.
